MARKET COMMENTARY For Tuesday,21 November 2017
The Nifty advanced 15.15 points or 0.15% to settle at 10,298.75, its highest closing level since 10 November 2017. The index gained 26.25 points or 0.26% at the day’s high of 10,309.85. The index fell 22.10 points or 0.21% at the day’s low of 10,261.50.
The Sensex rose 17.10 points or 0.05% to settle at 33,359.90, its highest closing level since 6 November 2017. The index gained 106.73 points or 0.32% at the day’s high of 33,449.53. The index fell 54.59 points or 0.16% at the day’s low of 33,288.21.
The S&P BSE Mid-Cap index rose 0.63%. The S&P BSE Small-Cap index advanced 0.81%. Both these indices outperformed the Sensex.
The breadth, indicating the overall health of the market, was strong. On BSE, 1,616 shares rose and 1,034 shares declined. A total of 196 shares were unchanged.
Nifty likely to trade in the range of 10145-10433.
